United States of America versus the world!!!

Philippines is a country with a culture that is more western than orientals. United States of America is a friend of our country. We have visiting forces agreement with them. They play a major role in our development. And of course, the employment of our nationals abroad. But still, we are a country of sovereign state. We have our own government. We have our own people. We have our own sovereignty. So as Pakistan. Yes Pakistan.

Some days ago, we learned from the news about what happened with Ben Laden in Pakistan. Ben Laden is dead according to news headlines. He was of course, the mastermind of all the major attacks in American soil. But US forces attacked his hideout without the knowledge of the Pakistani government. Do you think, US has the right to interfere over a sovereign country?

  1. Yes, A BIG YES. If the people, or the government of Pakistan can't resolve their problems on their own, then this can give other countries (especially the US) the right to intervene, if and only if, their purpose is made clear, and that purpose would be to protect the people, and to suppress those who threaten the people of Pakistan.

  2. ..For me kuya, US has no right to interfere over a sovereign country because it only shows that U.S.A is more superior than other countries that can attack just as easy as they think without even knowing what consequences can the brought to that certain country, some innocent people might get harm and die with their attack and also the Pakistani Government didn't even have the knowledge about the attack.
I can imagine how Obama ordered the forces to attacked Pakistan. In my opinion, it is better to imprisoned Ben Laden, give him the punishment rather than killing it barbarically!!

    Peace:)

  4. I believe that it does not have the right to interfere, but it has to right to affect or influence another sovereign state but that only depends upon the mindset or principles of the leaders of that particular state, kung gusto nilang sumipsip sa ibang bansa, e di papayag sila, pero kung gusto nilang pagtibayin ang suporta nila galing sa kanyang mga mamamayan, e di papanindigan niya ang mas gusto ng kanyang mga nasasakupan...

  5. U.S does not have the right in interfering over a sovereign country. They show their superiority against other country through brute force. forcing the accused country to take revenge on them. They are the ones who create terrorists, the ones the call terrorists will raged out and plan a massive attack to their state. it is better to imprison the accuser, than to treat him/her like a piece of trash

  6. I believe, that it even though they have no right in that country but still they have protocols to follow. As well as they maybe overcome by their emotions because of what Ben laden has done in the incident of the twin tower.
And also for me,not saying that Pakistan is ally with Ben laden,if the US government will tell the Pakistani Government maybe they will help Ben laden to its escape.

  9. For me, US has no right to interfere another state without permission. But in this case, i think that they made the right decision to attack the hideout of Bin Laden 'cause if they wont do anything, more attacks or violence might happen. And it's also high time to end the war between US and these terrorists.

  36. ok lng naman sna na nagawa ng mga US army ung pagatake kay Ben Laden because they have the protocol as other commented, dahil sa gnwa nila ung leader ng terrorist na major treat sa mundo ay wla na khit anjan parin ung mga tao nya pero atleast nabwsan na...pero sna nkipgcommunicate din sila sa govern't ng Pakistan as a respect dahil di naman nla pagaari ang Pakistan at may sarli itong govern't khit na di pa nla naaayos ang problma about sa terrorist pero they have the right to know the plan of the US plan...

  38. The US Gov't might not have the rights to do such, but since Bin Laden was the leader of the Al Qaeda, they just have to put him down, for the group does not only make headlines on American soil but with other countries too.
US Forces attacking Bin Laden's hideout in Pakistan without the country's government's knowledge? It's just right. We never know. What if the US Gov't let the Pakistani Government knew about them attacking Bin Laden's hideout, wouldn't that be really risky? One might just spread the news til it will reach Bin Laden then he'd might just run and hide again.
It has been at most 10 years for the US Gov't trying to locate where Bin Laden was. And they finally located him, so why won't they put an end to a leader who breaks peace in people's lives?
True they might have violated Pakistan's right to know, but that's just that, they have to put down a fugitive. The US Forces took care to avoid civilian casualties naman. And yes, we also are a country of sovereign state like Pakistan and it's never good to interfere a country with a government of its own, but this case, attacking Bin Laden's hideout, just does not apply, because they had to do it. Bin Laden was on the American FBI lists of Ten Most Wanted Fugitives and Most Wanted Terrorists. Haha

for me kuya, US is indeed a powerful country. But, when it comes to taking actions in their land, i think it is best and also giving them respect, by not merely doing such actions without the knowledge of the leaders of the said country.
