Merging Smart and Sun Cellular, good or bad???

Sun Cellular, as we all know, popularize the call and text unlimited promos. But many of us consumers do not really care about this issue, especially if you come from the other service provider. Though sun started it all, we, users of smart and globe are greatly affected by this. Why? Because the promo offered by the third largest telco player became a way for smart and globe to lower its cost for messaging and voice calls.

If you're a sun cellular user, you definitely care if PLDT, who owns the smart communications, will cut its promos. On the other side, if you're not a sun cellular user, you might not care about this. But you have to come to think of it. If there are less competitors out there, high cost for loads will be implemented again. The question is, do you think smart and sun cellular merger is good or bad?

...if that happens, a single sms would cost maybe 5 pesos??? 10 pesos??? scary!!!

  14. @jp ..baka mas mahal. kasi pag tatlo ang company na hinahawakan nila mas tataas ang value ng sms kasi mag cocompete ang provider nila >.<

Napilitang magbaba ng presyo dahil sa Sun cellular..

    Hahaha..Sorry I'm A Smart and Globe user..

But my opinion, maybe it's the best for them to compete para bagsakan ang presyo ng load..

_fighting for the lowest cost of load..hahaha..
kung saan mura, definitely doon tayo sa praktikal..

  17. Thanks to Sun at first, di nag bucket pricing ang Smart and Globe nang naintroduce ang unlimited.I'd go for more competition than monopoly.

  19. Bad?? because as you said mas kokonti nlng ang competition between companies which will result to higher costs.

  20. Text messaging should not cost us a single cent. Problem is we are living in one of the most corrupted nations in the world. I say "no" to this notion. Effects could slowly devastate people who are using cellular phones.
